Planning granted for major leisure scheme in Doncaster
Detailed planning permission and listed buildings consent has been granted by Doncaster Council for a major hotel extension and restaurant
development.
Located adjacent to the Grade 2 listed Grand St Leger Hotel, the scheme includes a major new 200 seater restaurant as well as a 30 bedroom
extension with associated restaurant, bars and reception facilities.
Speaking about the scheme, MD of Benell Anuj Joshi said “Our team has worked with the local authority conservation officer in order to ensure
that the extension is sympathetic with the existing building but also provides a viable economic solution. We are delighted that we have overcome numerous obstacles to now obtain detailed planning consent for such a stunning scheme.”
Hotel Owner John Din commented “The team at Benell have been a crucial element initially on the land acquisition from the local authority and
now securing detailed planning consent. We are delighted with the result and now are planning the construction phase of the scheme with Anuj and his team.”
