Benell is privately owned organisation, headed up by Anuj Joshi and supported by a network of professionals.
Anuj is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and has worked extensively in the property industry for over 25 years.
His unique experience in the property sector has been gained in a variety of roles and sectors.
Previously employed by English Partnerships and Yorkshire Forward, he worked on a number of major regeneration schemes throughout Yorkshire & Humberside including the regeneration of the collieries sites in South Yorkshire. In addition, he was part of the team that administered grant aid for property schemes in the area. These schemes included residential, commercial & leisure projects.
Following the roles in the public sector, in 2000 he moved to Priority Sites Ltd, which was a subsidiary of The Royal Bank of Scotland and a joint venture with English Partnerships. He was instrumental in the growth of this commercial development company and as Development Director was responsible for the delivery of schemes throughout England. Some notable projects include the award winning "North Bank" which was a multi million pound office development in the centre of Sheffield.
In 2006 he set up with Paul Barber, a private property development company, Strategic Sites Ltd with backing from a number of major property companies. As Managing Director he continued to undertake further projects including a number of substantial industrial developments in South Yorkshire, together with the setting up of a joint venture company with UK Coal Plc on which he sat on its board.
In 2009, he set up Benell Ltd based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
